On the 1st of August 2026, at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban, the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, together with the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, launched Women’s Month 2026, commemorating 70 years since the historic 1956 Women’s March, under the theme “Empowered Women, Empower Nations.”

The Women’s Trade Fair celebrated women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods. The Agribusiness Development Agency and Ntingwe Tea were part of the launch and had an opportunity to exhibit their products and services, showcasing their contribution to agribusiness development and economic empowerment in KwaZulu-Natal.
