Mrs. Thokozile Gumede

Mrs. Thokozile Joyce Gumede is a seasoned healthcare professional with a Diploma in Nursing Science, a qualification in Midwifery, and an Advanced Certificate in Public Management. She began her career as a Chief Professional Nurse, and later served as a Matron. Mrs Gumede’s career took a significant turn when she became a Councillor in the eThekwini Municipality. She later served as Chairperson of the Hospital Board, shaping hospital policies and operations. She also served as a Member of Parliament for KwaZulu-Natal, holding key positions in various committees.
