Mr Sifiso Gabela
Mr Sifiso Gabela has more than 14 years’ experience in public service. He is well vested in transcripts of government pertaining to good governance and has a firm grasp of the Public Finance Management Act and the Municipal Finance Management Act. As a Board Member of Agribusiness Development Agency, his areas of expertise include finance oversight, auditing, good governance and public administration. He has served as leader in rural development initiatives. In the new political dispensation he was a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Commission Steering Committee, responsible for government work on Youth in absence of the Commission, and produced the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Act of 1998. Mr Gabela is a former Special Advisor to the KwaZulu-Natal Premier. He served in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa in the National Assembly and in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature for a combined period of fourteen years. As a legislator he specialised in Finance, Economic Development and SCOPA. He also served in COGTA, Transport, Public Works, and Safety and Security committees. He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) and his dissertation dealt with issues of accountability, oversight and management efficiency.
