The Agribusiness Development Agency(ADA) is a state-owned entity created by the provincial government of KwaZulu-Natal to support the development of emergent black commercial farmers and agribusiness entrepreneurs in the province. Since 2009, now under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The ADA recognizes that an approach which focuses on the strengthening of both primary production and the entire value chains is more effective to the development of commodities in KwaZulu-Natal. In this regard, it has identified the adoption of agri-hubs in commodity value chains as a possible option in the development of the commodities sector.
