Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12, BSc or B-Tech degree (NQF level 7) in Agricultural or Civil Engineering.
- Three (3) years’ relevant experience working in agricultural / civil engineering environment.
- At least one year experience should be in middle management services.
- Valid driver’s license code 8 or above
- Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist and must be active.

Key Performance Areas:
- To provide leadership and support by applying engineering principles and address technical challenges,
- To manage planning, design, implementation of engineering projects and new systems to solve problems, improve efficiency in one or more of the following fields of agricultural infrastructure: irrigation & water supply pump stations, mechanization; farm structures; animal handling facilities; food processing and energy,
- Implementation of cost-effective solutions according to Agribusiness, Development agency (ADA) standards. Develop design manuals, standard drawings and procedures,
- Promotion of safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. Preparing presentation and reports of implementation of projects,
- Reporting on service delivery and adherence to administrative procedures and regulations,
- Self-development in terms of keeping up to date with new technologies and procedures,
- Monitoring and supervision of projects from different service providers under Agribusiness Development agency (ADA).
- Ad hoc duties required by the incumbent’s supervisor.
