Minimum Requirements:
- Must have completed Matric.
- The minimum essential qualification required for the job is a BCom Degree in SCM (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management.
- An Honours degree will be an added advantage.
- A valid driver’s license.
Knowledge and Skills:
Extensive knowledge and understanding of:-
- Financial Management
- Performance Management
- Strategic Management
- Public Sector Reporting procedures
- Supply Chain Management regulations and policies applicable in the public sector
- Working knowledge and understanding norms and standards and other legislation i.e. Constitution, Public Finance Management Act, 1999; National Treasury Regulations; Provincial Treasury Instructions; Financial delegations; applicable policies and procedures.
Key Performance Areas:
- Facilitate, co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate the effective and efficient implementation of policies and procedures in Supply Chain Management.
- Provide for effective and efficient implementation of Supply Chain Management in the following area i.e. Manage and oversee the various components of supply chain management which includes demand, acquisition, logistics, disposal, performance and risk management.
- To ensure compliance of all laws, regulations and policies.
- Implement innovative service delivery options in supply chain management
- Build and model the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct to improve service delivery.
- Meet reporting requirements in terms of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, PPPFA, and Supply chain management policy framework.
- To provide input into policy development plans and annual reports, operational plans, and strategic plans.
- To provide support services to the Chief Finance Officer
